Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance took center stage at TGS 12, showcasing a demo of the game to attendants. The development team also took the time to show a mode similar to VR training where Raiden slashes differing floating shapes such as cubes using his trademark sword slashing techniques. Sadly, no signs of watermelon slashing were present. As the days of release come closer, Rising seems to get much more interesting, and it should provide a chance for us to quench our thirst until Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes gets closer to completion.
Metal Gear Solid: Digital Graphic Novel (known in Japan as Metal Gear Solid: Bande Dessinée, French for "Franco-Belgian graphic novel style") is an interactive comic book developed by Kojima Productions and published by Konami for the PlayStation Portable. It was released in North America on June 13, 2006 and in Japan and Europe on September 21, 2006.
Metal Gear Solid: Digital Graphic Novel is based on the existing Metal Gear Solid comic drawn by Ashley Wood but has been digitally edited into a 3D medium and now features sound effects, animations, and music, with the exception of voice acting (in the PSP version), to bring it to life. This innovative title uses the new medium to tell the full story of the first Metal Gear Solid adventure. As viewers progress through the story, they can zoom in and out of the images using the analogue stick and scan specific points of interest. These scanned images are then stored in a library of hundreds of similarly noteworthy elements, which can then be linked together, to access more in depth information. A second digital graphic novel, titled Metal Gear Solid 2: Bande Dessinée, an interactive comic book based on Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, was released in Japan on June 12, 2008, the same day Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots was released worldwide. A release outside of Japan is currently unknown. A DVD version of Metal Gear Solid : Digital Graphic Novel is included with Metal Gear Solid 2: Bande Dessinée. It features full Japanese voice acting.
